Nature’s Acoustics, Inc was established in 2004. We are dedicated to produce performance materials that are sustainable and environmentally responsible for the flooring industry. Our primary material is wool fiber from sheep. We use virgin wool fiber and post industrial recycled wool fiber. We reclaim and process our own  recycled fiber from the wool carpet mills who tuft high quality carpet and rugs.

The characteristics of wool fiber make it an ideal raw material for personal and environmental safety. Wool is one of the best thermal insulating materials and is non-flammable “by nature”. Wool has the incredible ability to absorb VOC’s (Formaldehyde, Nitrogen Oxide, Sulfur Dioxide = Sick Building Syndrome ) and makes it an ideal material for people with chemical sensitivities. It is a rapidly renewable source, as the sheep have to be clipped once a year. It’s biodegradable and adds nutrients and Nitrogen to the soil as it decomposes.

NAI produces flooring underlayments for laminate and engineered wood flooring as well as high density wool carpet pad cushion. Our wool fibers are constructed with a needle punch process. Wool fibers are collected, combed,  and then mechanically intermingled and locked around one another to produce a needle punch felt material.
